CHILDWATCH
Our childwatch room is located on the third floor of the building. Parents
with children must bring their children to babysitting prior to signing
themselves in. Joan Fontaine, our head babysitter, has been caring for
children for over nine years. Two sitters are always present during the
busy hours of club.
Our colorfully painted room is filled with many toys for the children.
A television showing videos is playing should children prefer to sit and
watch. The cost of childcare is $3.00 per child per hour. Payment is made
directly in the childwatch room when children are dropped off. Parents
are requested to sign children in upon arriving.
This loving environment helps new parents feel comfortable while leaving
their child in order to work out. Childwatch hours are Mon. through Friday
8:00AM to 11:45AM.
WEIGHT
IS OVER
The "Weight Is Over" is our weight loss program designed by
Alison Olson. This three in one program focuses on fitness, nutrition
and stress management. It teaches individuals healthy eating habits for
permanent weight loss. Our program meets Tuesdays @ 10:30 AM to 11AM.
For individual counseling please ask for Alison Olson. We offer an on
going 8 week program for $79. Call today for more information.
MASSAGE
Located in the club is Soma Therapeutics. Relax and enjoy a soothing massage
to help with sore muscles or the stress of your daily life. With soft
music playing and the sound of water running through a fountain, relax
as your body is stroked and pressed in different areas to relieve pain,
relax, stimulate and tone the body. Appointments are made directly with
Maria Soma by calling 508-879-1200.
TANNING
Don’t let your summer tan fade! Conveniently located in the health club
you can easily keep that summer tan or prepare your body for that winter
vacation. Appointments can be made when you come in and/or you can easily
tan right after a workout. All tanners must wear protective eyewear. Focus
on Fitness sells goggles and tanning lotions.

SWIM
LESSONS
Swim lessons are available for children ages 2 to 13 years of age. Two
six week sessions are offered in the Fall followed by three five week
sessions in the Winter and Spring. Class sizes are small allowing for
individual needs of children to be met. Lessons are taught by American
Red Cross Certified instructor Nate Caverly.

PARKING
Ample parking is provided for members all around the building, just a
few steps from the front entrance of the club.
STEAM
AND SAUNA
Relax and enjoy the comforts of wet or dry heat after a hard workout.
The steam room provides members with wet warm air that cleanses your body’s
pores while warming worked tight muscles. If you prefer the same benefits
but prefer dry area please visit our sauna. Both the steam and the sauna
are coed and are located in the lobby area outside the locker rooms and
the pool.
SPAULDING
REHABILITATION
In the Fall of 2004, Focus on Fitness will begin its
relationship with Spaulding Rehabilitation Center. After much research
in deciding their health club affiliation, Spaulding has chosen Focus
on Fitness. To bridge the gap from rehab to establishing good
fitness habits of patients at Spaulding, physical therapists from Spaulding
will be training patients at the club. This we enable patients to continue
their programs in the proper form when rehab ends.
On the first Tuesday evening of every month a physical therapist from
Spaulding will be here to answer your questions. From 6:00PM to 7:00PM,
Focus on Fitness’s members will be able to get answers
to questions regarding anything to do with your body…it will be called
"Ask the P.T.". Take advantage of this opportunity to learn
some answers to your questions regarding exercise and what may be best
for what is ailing you.
FRAMINGHAM
TAI CHI
LEARN TAI CHI FOR HEALTH, FITNESS AND SELF DEFENSE. Join us every Tuesday
evening from 7:30 to 8:30 PM. Your instructor is Robert "Bob"
Greenebaum, an 18-year veteran Tai Chi instructor. Visit Framingham Tai

You will learn the Yang style short form, one of the most popular Tai
